MASTER, ESTUARY To Team Up For U.S. Tour

According to the MySpace page of Central Illinois Metal Booking Agency and Tours, MASTER and ESTUARY will team up for a two-week U.S. tour in October. So far only one date has been announced: October 26 at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, California.

MASTER's latest album, "Slaves to Society", will receive a U.S. release this summer via Ibex Moon Records.

John McEntee, owner of Ibex Moon Records, stated about his decision to sign the group: "In the '80s when I started really getting into the metal underground, I would have never thought one day I would be releasing a recording by one of my favorite bands and biggest influences MASTER. For me and most other die-hard underground metallers in the '80s and early '90s understand the massive impact MASTER has had on the world of extreme metal. Most of the extreme bands that have gone on to massive success in the early '90s wave of death metal would be lying if they said they weren't affected one way or another by the powerful aggressive songs of MASTER. 'Slaves to Society' is quite possibly MASTER's most aggressive album released to date and I'm honored to be working with them."

MASTER's Paul Speckmann is originally from Chicago, Illinois, but now resides in the Czech Republic. Joining him in the band's current lineup is Alex Nejezchleba (SHAARK, MAMUT) on lead and rhythm guitar, and Zdenek Pradlovsky (SHAARK, KREYSON) on drums.

MASTER was formed in late 1983 and has released nine full-length albums on Nuclear Blast, Twilight Vertrieb, Displeased, System Shock and Pavement. Paul Speckmann and MASTER have had an important impact on the development of extreme metal, and have been a major influence on bands like NAPALM DEATH, DEATH, BENEDICTION, TERRORIZER, NAUSEA, CARCASS, PESTILENCE, and many more, not to mention pretty much the entire early '90s Swedish death metal scene.
